On Tuesday, PS373 Staff took Level III students to Perkins for breakfast for Thanksgiving. Thirty-four students with 9 staff members boarded a MTA city bus at 9:30 this morning in route to the restaurant. There was a feeling of excitement on the way to breakfast. When we got there, the students ordered their meals from the breakfast menu. To every one’s surprise, Mr. Miller met us at Perkins and ate breakfast with us. He even walked us back to the bus stop and waited for all of us to get back on the bus.

When the meal was over, we had 34 stuffed bellies waiting to come back to school. I was very proud of all the students and walking out of the resturant I was told by a woman eating breakfast that the students were quiet and well behaved.

Congratulations to all of the student who made the right choice and came on the trip.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the next holiday event.

This week we will be having our first monthly Power of Choice assembly on Thursday, November 29th. There will be two separate assemblies the 2nd floor at 9:30 am, and the 3rd at 10: 00 am. (On assembly days end 3rd floor EDM Groups at 9:55)

Classes will be performing and reading short written pieces from our writing contests. Each month a different class will be presenting.  Students who have maintained level 3 and 2 for the entire month will be presented with certificates.

Level 3 students will be eligible for entry into our monthly P.O.C. raffles.

Teachers should come prepared to hand out the certificates to their class.  If need assistance downloading and printing certificates  see Ms. Broderick, Ms.Vivaldi, or Ms. Rosen.

What you will need to do for this assembly:

1.  Hand in  a list of students by Tuesday who will be recieving awards to Ms. Broderick or Ms. Vivaldi

2. Print out your awards and bring them to the assembly

3. Arrive on time to the assembly( 9:30 am for the second floor and 10:00 am for the third floor.  )
